In August of 2012 I worked with a beautiful model for a couple of cosplay photoshoots, including this Alice in Wonderland cosplay shoot. We decided before the shoot that we’d do a catwoman shoot at the dark arches in Leeds and an Alice in Wonderland themed shoot at a local park. I checked out the locations we had in mind for both shoots in advance and found that they both met our requirements.
For the photographers reading this I used a Nikon D5000 with a 1.4f 50mm lense. All of the lighting is natural and we shot from around 6-9pm so the sun was fairly low. I did have my partner on hand to assist me by holding a large reflector in place for a few shots.
You can buy the deluxe Alice costume from our shop. It’s fantastic quality and well worth the money.
This shoot was intended to be fun and provide us both with some lovely pictures. We didn’t put too much focus on replicating the character exactly, which is why we didn’t get a blonde wig for the model. Please don’t hammer me with ‘Alice has blonde hair and she don’t’ messages, we used what we had access to.
Alice in Wonderland Cosplay Photoshoot Pictures
Here are the pictures that I took at the shoot. All of them have had post production work done in Lightroom and Photoshop.

The little blob on the grass in the background is a hedgehog! He was scuttling around while we were shooting and managed to appear in the background of a few pictures. He appears in another picture on this page. Can you spot him?
Sadly since the shoot I’ve been informed that hedgehogs come out in the day to die. Fingers crossed it was just interested in what we were up to.
And One Just For Fun
I managed to snag this shot just as the model was coming out of a pose. I loved it the moment I saw it and hope you like it too.
